Manufacturer's description

Divinol Turbo 15W-40 is an SHPD multigrade engine oil that can be used across the whole vehicle fleet. Its outstanding cleaning and dirt-carrying properties (detergent and dispersant action) enable longer oil-change intervals, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Because it can be used universally and all year round in both diesel and petrol engines, it simplifies stock keeping in mixed fleets. The oil is intended for turbocharged, high-speed diesel and petrol engines in commercial vehicles such as buses, vans and heavy goods vehicles used in construction, which operate continuously under the influence of dirt, dust, heat and cold. Divinol Turbo 15W-40 meets API SJ/CF-4 and ACEA A3-02/B3-98/E2-96, and fulfils the performance requirements of VW 501.01/505.00, Allison C-4, Caterpillar TO-2, Volvo VDS, MAN 271, MB 228.1/229.1, MTU Type 1 and Valtra E.

Applications

  • For supercharged, fast running diesel / gasoline engines in utility vehicles (busses, transporters, heavy goods vehicles for building work) which are in permanent use with dirt, dust, heat and cold influence.

Performance & benefits

  • Divinol Turbo 15W-40 is a SHPD-multigrade oil, which can be used for the whole motor vehicle fleet. Outstanding cleaning and dirt carrying properties (dispersant and detergent properties) enable longer oil change intervals (according to the manufacturer). The oil simplifies stock keeping in mixed vehicle fleets because of universal, nonseasonal usability for diesel and otto engines

Standards & approvals

  • API SJ

Petrol engine oil, API SJ performance level

API's service category for spark-ignition engines. Current category.Source

  • API CF-4

Diesel engine oil, API CF-4 performance level

API's service category for high-speed four-stroke diesel engines, of the generation preceding the emissions standards. An earlier category in the API service classification, written for the engines of its era; it still appears on datasheets alongside the current categories.Source

  • ACEA A3-02/B3-98/E2-96

    ACEA A3/B3/E2 sequences, 1996–2002 issues

A historical combination of ACEA sequences for passenger-car petrol and diesel engines (A3/B3) and for heavy-duty diesel engines without exhaust aftertreatment (E2). The issues quoted have been withdrawn from the ACEA list and survive only on older datasheets.

  • VW 501.01/505.00

    VW 501 01 / 505 00 — engine oil (obsolete)

VW's old engine oil standards for petrol engines (501 01) and for diesels without a direct-injection turbo (505 00). Withdrawn, but still called for by older engines in the group.

  • Allison C-4

    Allison C-4 — off-highway automatic transmission fluid

Allison's most widely quoted fluid specification for off-highway and truck automatic transmissions: stable wet-clutch friction, gear protection and seal compatibility.

  • Caterpillar TO-2

Caterpillar TO-2 — transmissions and wet brakes (superseded)

Caterpillar's specification for transmission, clutch and wet-brake oils in off-highway equipment. Superseded by TO-4 but still quoted on universal off-highway oils.

  • MAN 271

MAN 271 — multigrade engine oil (obsolete)

MAN's old multigrade truck engine oil specification, the counterpart of MAN 270. Superseded by the M 3xxx series.

  • MTU Type 1

    MTU Oil Category 1

MTU's first, standard-level oil quality category, for older MTU engines.
