Manufacturer's description
PETRONAS Tutela Brake Fluid DOT 4 is a premium quality performance hydraulic brake and clutch systems fluid, delivering optimised performance and component durability for today's vehicle braking systems. It is especially recommended for ABS, TCS and ESP/DSC systems. The fluid extends braking system life through enhanced corrosion protection for metal-based components, good thermal stability for consistent performance over the service life, effective lubricity to prevent squeak noise and improve reaction time, and good elastomer and rubber compatibility to prevent leaks and extend component life. It also delivers an outstanding driving experience through optimal pedal-stroke stability with no hysteresis across cold/hot/cold cycles, enhanced resistance to brake fade even in severe conditions thanks to high thermal resistance, good low-temperature fluidity for effective system reaction time, and a high dry boiling point to prevent vapour lock, together with a high wet boiling point for lasting braking efficiency and improved vehicle safety. It meets FMVSS No. 116 DOT 3/DOT 4, ISO 4925 Class 4, SAE J1703 and J1704 specifications, with Continental ATE, FCA 9.55597 DOT 4, IVECO 18-1820, MAT 3630, MS-90039, Nissan NES-M5 055 and Renault 41-02-001/-E performance-level references.

Standards & approvals
ISO 4925 Class 4
Brake fluid Class 4 — ISO 4925
The international standard for glycol brake fluids; class 4 matches the DOT 4 level, with a high boiling point both dry and wet.
SAE J1703
SAE J1703 — DOT 3 brake fluid
The SAE standard for glycol brake fluids at the DOT 3 level, defined by dry and wet boiling point.
SAE J 1704
SAE J1704 — DOT 4 brake fluid
The SAE standard for DOT 4 brake fluids, with a higher boiling point than DOT 3, particularly once the fluid has taken up water.
