Manufacturer's description
Bitume 160/220 per usi industriali is an industrial-grade bitumen produced by Eni. Its penetration and its chemistry are set to be compatible with polypropylene polymers, for the bitumen-polymer compounds that go into waterproofing membranes. Two penetration ranges are made, so that the binding properties can be matched to a winter or a summer formulation. It is also a good bituminous base for other industrial work: oxidised bitumen, pipe protection coatings, mastics, bituminous paints and special lubricants. For membranes made with styrene-butadiene-styrene polymers, Eni produces Bitume Stradale 170/210 instead.
Applications
- Bitumen 160/220 for industrial uses produced by Eni, thanks to its penetration data and the specific chemical characteristics, is designed to provide compatibility with polypropylene polymers for the formulation of bitumen - polymer compounds used in the production of waterproofing membranes and in other industrial uses. Two distinct range of penetration have been identified in order to adequately modulate, over the year, the binding properties in relation to the winter or summer formulation. industrial uses
- The product is a good bituminous base for other industrial applications, such as oxidized bitumen, pipe protection coatings, mastics and bituminous paints and special lubricants.
