PETRONAS Idraulic BV 46 Biophyt is a vegetable-based hydraulic oil combining very high technical performance with a high level of biodegradability. It is applicable on agricultural tractors, earthmoving machines, forklift trucks and utility vehicles of any size or make, offering an environmentally responsible alternative to mineral hydraulic oils. Formulated to the ISO VG 46 viscosity grade, the oil meets DIN 51524 hydraulic oil requirements. Typical properties include a viscosity of 44 cSt at 40°C and 10 cSt at 100°C, a viscosity index of 223, a flash point of 282°C, a specific gravity of 0.921 at 15°C and a pour point of -30°C. The high viscosity index and biodegradable formulation make it well suited to hydraulic systems operating in environmentally sensitive areas, while still delivering the performance expected of a conventional hydraulic fluid.
