AP/E Core 100
Base stock for blending automotive and industrial lubricants, with API/ATIEL interchange
AP/E Core is ExxonMobil's slate of base stocks designed to offer broad blending coverage, with performance capabilities spanning engine oils to industrial lubricants. The slate constitutes a base-stock family as defined within API/ATIEL Guidelines for the formulation and qualification of automotive lubricants, giving formulators base-oil interchange and viscosity-grade read-across capabilities. The range comprises four grades — Core 100, Core 150, Core 600 and Core 2500 — differentiated by ASTM colour, kinematic viscosity, flash point, pour point and viscosity index, with viscosity index of 95-100 minimum and pour points between -6°C and -18°C depending on grade. ExxonMobil follows rigorous quality-control processes to ensure reliable delivery of consistent base stocks, giving lubricant blenders confidence in their base-stock supply and simplifying qualification testing across the slate. Because the Core base stocks are certified on release against defined specification limits (per ASTM D1500, D5293, D92, D445, D5800 and D97/D2270 methods), they offer formulators broad supply-chain flexibility for building both automotive and industrial finished lubricants.
