Mobil ATF SHC™ is a superior-performance synthetic automatic transmission fluid designed to meet the demanding requirements of automatic transmissions operating in severe, high-temperature and heavy-load applications. Its inherently high viscosity index and stability protect against thermal breakdown at high operating temperatures while enabling outstanding performance at ambient temperatures below -40°C. ExxonMobil recommends Mobil ATF SHC for modern high-performance transmissions operating in severe, high-temperature, heavy-load or cold-climate conditions. It is also ideal for manual transmissions designed to operate with ATF fluids, providing excellent gear shifting and protection under severe operating conditions. The fluid combines high-performance synthesized hydrocarbon base oils with a balanced additive system for a significantly higher level of performance than conventional fluids, delivering long fluid life, improved transmission cleanliness and excellent shift performance. Key benefits include outstanding film strength and anti-wear properties for reduced wear and longer transmission life, excellent low-temperature fluidity for prompt lubrication below -40°C, and exceptional shear stability with compatibility with mineral ATF fluids and common seal materials, giving viscosity retention under the severest conditions and reliable leakage control. According to ExxonMobil, the product is of Allison C-4, Caterpillar TO-2, GM DEXRON IIE and Renk Doromat quality level, and it holds builder approvals including MAN 339 Typ V2/Z2, MB-Approval 236.8 and R.
