PETRONAS AdBlue is a ready-to-use, high-purity synthetic fluid developed for vehicles with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) after-treatment technology. It is a 32.5% urea solution in de-mineralized water, colourless and biodegradable, certified according to ISO 22241 and qualified by the VDA to guarantee high quality standards. Injected into the SCR system, it releases ammonia that reacts with NOx, converting it into nitrogen and water and so reducing pollutant emissions to meet Euro 4, Euro 5 and Euro 6 requirements. PETRONAS AdBlue is suitable for passenger cars, light and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, buses, agricultural machinery, and construction and mining equipment. It delivers enhanced SCR system efficiency and extended system life, optimized fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions without loss of engine power, and long refill intervals for low operating costs. The product is non-hazardous, non-toxic and not flammable, though appropriate storage and transport conditions should be maintained. The product meets ISO 22241 and IVECO Standard 18-1852. It should never be mixed with water, diesel or other additives, and must be stored away from direct sunlight between -5°C and +30°C to prevent crystallization or degradation.
Applications
- PETRONAS AdBlue® is a 32.5% urea solution in de-mineralized water, colorless and biodegradable, certified according to ISO 22241 and qualified by the VDA (German Automotive Industry Association), to guarantee high- quality standards. AdBlue® is a reducing agent, injected into the SCR system, releasing ammonia to react with NO X, transforming them into nitrogen (harmless gas) and water, hence reducing pollutant emissions. PETRONAS AdBlue® is suitable for passenger car, light and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, buses, agriculture machineries, construction, and mining equipment. Do not mix the product with water or any other additive, especially Diesel fuel to avoid damage to SCR system. Never fill the Diesel tank with AdBlue® (or vice-versa): this could damage the fuel injection system. Refill interval depends on driving style, vehicle type and fuel consumption. Always refer to safety data sheet for storage instructions, shelf life and fluid handling.
