Mobilarma 700 Series comprises three premium performance rust preventives covering storage and inter-operational protection needs. Mobilarma 778 is intended for protecting cold-rolled sheet and coiled steel in the metal industry, while Mobilarma 798 is intended for the lubrication and rust protection of wire rope in industrial, construction, mining and marine applications. Both products exhibit excellent water-displacing properties and form thin, tenacious films that protect surfaces even under severe conditions such as high moisture levels and exposure to acid or corrosive fumes. Mobilarma 778 forms a wet, oily, extremely thin, non-tacky barrier film that will not attract dirt, protecting sheet and coiled steel for up to twelve months even under severe conditions including humidity variation and acid fumes near pickling operations. Mobilarma 798 forms a grease-like film that protects wire rope against corrosion from salt spray and moisture-laden atmospheres, remains pliable at -35°C, will not drip at 60°C, resists throw-off in high-speed service, adheres without being tacky or stringy, and is self-healing without chipping; it is also compatible with other wire rope core impregnating materials applied during manufacture. Mobilarma 778 is recommended as a protective coating for cold-rolled sheet and coiled steel, for precision machined parts and instruments in storage, and as a die lubricant in light-duty pressing operations. Mobilarma 798 is recommended for lubrication and preservation of strands and running ropes and for impregnation of steel wire ropes during manufacture. Typical properties include a flash point of 190°C (778) and 238°C (798), kinematic viscosity of 18 cSt at 40°C (778) and 23.1 cSt at 100°C (798), and a dropping point of 63°C for Mobilarma 798.
